And with that initial post, the vigil begins... The anticipation, the nervousness, the despair, the emotional roller coaster.... We check our credit cards online 10 times a day to see if we have a hit. We check Bowsite 10 times a day as well to see if anyone else has a hit. Then, someone does get a hit! A second person posts a successful hit, then a third!!! We frantically check our credit cards online, hoping beyond hope that we will be successful as well. After 12 years, we begin to wonder if it will EVER happen! But we continue to hope that MAYBE this year will be the year, we continue to check frantically, the vigil continues....

Yep, once they start, they'll keep going through the weekend. They did last year anyway. Units 9 and 10 have been getting some rain the last few weeks. Gonna be an exceptionally good year to pull a tag.

If you have a Chase card, you can set up alerts to notify you by email instantly of any pending charge above a certain amount. Mine is set for anything over 300.00, and it notifies within seconds of any authorization.
Unfortunately I'm probably not in danger of drawing unless they actually do give some high-demand tags to NR in the random pass this year.

Last year the hits lasted over a week...They run them thru..and if someones card is insufficient or bad they run again till all tags are filled..Trust me. I drove my family crazy for the last 4 years...lol..its a good week....Then its left over tag wait time....Good luck all.....

I had the same. I think I know what it took this year. There are 2 possible NR tags. 1.5 rounded up. I guess we will see in the next couple of weeks.

The first year I applied in AZ was 1993 a Jr. in High School it was a big deal for me to cough up the cash. Wayne Carlton told me to do it, we were shooting recurves betting on lunch before a seminar at the archery shop I worked at. That made the decision easier.
Over the years there were a couple in college where resources were scarce and chose not to apply not to mention I was in Alaska so I wanted to take advantage of that opportunity.
There was also a year I forgot to sign the app............
Currently there is a CC hit on my card, it would appear that I drew. 23N ( 3141 ) was my only choice. 19 Pts.
Until the permit is in my hand Im not getting excited.

JDeck thanks I just checked them and let me get the lump out of my throat from when I checked. I am actually working and living overseas in Pakistan right now and I put in for really tough (according to my Az friend) rifle hunts not really expecting to draw..of course that make the odds like a zillion times harder.. it s a long trip back and I would very restricted on any kind of scouting time (I am a DIY guy)so mostly looking to generate a point....but looks like I drew
Just checked and the numbers are all bull and the units are either 9-10-1,2,3( I think is what it is)
So the bullets I was sweating over a cow are over but not sure where I am going to be hunting. Was really looking for an Archery or Muzzy hunr when I had allot of time...but I aint bitchin. I thought it would be decade before I drew anything and I like rifle hunting too...and hunting elk in Arizona beats the hell out of getting hunted here...;) So that is where I stand..

The Governor issued a moratorium on all new rule making in AZ. The Article One stuff, which the 5%/5% was part of, is on hold until 2016 unless the dept can get a waiver.
All they have left to do is call some of the guys with declined cards, everything else is done.

My son is an Az resident. His credit card was hit for $130. He applied for elk and antelope. He claims he doesn't know what he drew. I looked online and found an elk tag was $148 and an antelope was $103. Can anyone tell me what he might have drawn?

Something isn't adding up. If his card was hit for $135, he got drawn for elk. They hit residents for $13 app fee when you apply. The total amount for residents is $148.
