Oregon Tag Refund

Last year I had a late season N/R elk tag.($508.) I had to have an emergencey surgery about a week before it opened and couldn't go. I thought well there goes a bunch down the drain. Someone told me to write ODFW about the situation. So I sent my tag and a copy of the hospital bill with the date and a letter explaining what happened. Well today I was notified that my money was being refunded for the tag. I was a little more than shocked. Replied to them with a thank you email.

They felt bad after robbing you of that $508. Nr elk tags should be half that.
