Have never been happy with how I hang my European elk mounts. How do you all display them, and hang them? Thanks KC

Not an elk but Skull Hooker is hard to beat for putting up European Mounts.

Yep, Skullhooker makes two sizes! The larger one would be perfect for your elk! Fully adjustable! Good luck! C

Another vote for Skullhooker. I think it holds the head at a more natural, eye-pleasing angle than a board (like the elk on the right)

No doubt, Skullhooker allows the antlers to sit at a more natural angle.

My taxidermy customers ask for the Skull Hooker by name and nothing else. So simple it hurts.

What they said.

Note: they make a pretty cool bracket for skull caps too. Not sure if it comes in larger sizes for elk and such, but I was surprised how good a cleaned and whitened skull cap looked on the wall with it. Can adjust the angles similar to the hooker.

Plus I just kinda like saying "hooker".....

+9 on that metal bracket I wish I invented and patented.

Do not search for Skull Hooker on Backpage.com. Vice might be stopping by.

I used a regular plate only because I wanted to add my jawbones.

if your looking for an alternative to the skull hooker, a RAM mount worked good for me. Only 2 screws at the back of the skull, and you can position it any way you want. Ill add a photo of just a skull plate as well, for which a skull hooker would not work. The RAM mounts are half the price, and you can get them as large as 2 inch for large moose or elk. The RAM mount is usually used for mounting GPS units on ATV or fish finders on boats. I found it quite easy to use.
