by definition if it is an estate there is NO hunting, just a scam! a way for people to make money. You sound like a new and eager person wanting to learn about hunting. I suggest you find a mentor and hunt deer locally or small game like squirrels. squirrel season is open now!

My former friend used to raise bulls and sell them to hunting estates. One day I was feeding them out of a grain bucket, the next day they were being "hunted" bi guys paying by the antler inch.

I don't understand why people, really wanting a high quality elk hunting experience, wouldn't just pay to access large private land ranches in current elk habitat.

Having never personally been on a estate elk hunt, I imagine the elk are a little easier to find, but you still have to hold it together at the shot.

Jaquomo, I especially wouldn't hunt estates with "bi" hunters.

elkhunter-ny, it's like in pro sports. They're among us, they just don't come out.
