Didn't a wolf get hit by a car in Co. a couple years ago?

Yep, one of the collared Yellowstone wolves was hit by a car near the Eisenhower Tunnels. A couple years ago another wolf was found shot near Meeker. No surprise that they have migrated to Colorado. Heck, with over 250,000 elk for them to eat, I'm surprised they haven't been here sooner!

The article I saw said the carcass was turned into parks and wildlife for analysis, was it confirmed as wolf?

Sounds like the AHRP (anti hunter replacement plan) is working.
God bless, Steve

Until further notice they are just renegade dogs harassing wildlife.

I hope the hunter does not get charged. I think they almost charged the Kentucky hunter who killed one. How a wolf could be protected in a state that does not admit they exist is still hard for me to get:)

To quote Tommy Lee Jones in Captain America:
"Good. Now let's go kill two more."

Yep, have had a small pack of grey wolves around my cabin in CB for the last 6 yrs. At first, folks didn't believe me when I mentioned it but that was until they saw the interpretive posters in local gas stations that educated the public on what the grey wolf looks like compared to a coyote and "Don't Shoot The Grey Wolf!"

My local WCO told me about a pair he watches up here in N.CO. A number of credible people, including my wife and a friend who is a ranch foreman have seen the big black one that roams around our mountain. And other WCO videoed a different black one near Walden a couple years ago.
They're here but they're not really "here". The last thing the CPW wants to deal with are Feds hugging wolves.

Why you should always carry a good sharp point shovel and practice not talking, now I understand why my parents always wanted me to play the "not talking game" when I was a child!

Yup. Hunted North Colorado just south of the Wyoming border 2 years ago And could hear them howling at night for a week straight. No mistaking their howl for the yelp of a coyote. Makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up For sure.
