The beetle killed trees in N Colorado are still falling. I went into a few areas yesterday and had to cut my way thru several places to get to where I wanted to go.

Be safe

We bowhunted Mt Zirkel Wilderness in 2013 and I think I seen like 9 trees actually fall. You hear them start to go, look in that direction and notice them tipping over. I'm sure its a lot worse now.

Yeah put a lot of thought into where you park your truck or choose to sleep.

I can tell you that on my hunt last month with Skinner Creek Hunts in BC that if we hadn't carried a chainsaw on a daily basis we wouldn't have been able to get to many quality areas. Sometimes dozens of trees in short distances, other times just one tree from one day to the next.

Heading up to my spot in a couple of weeks and I am taking my chainsaw. Need to clear the trail to my honey hole too!

I would always have that saw with me. Sometimes you need to saw your way out instead of instead of in all areas.
