Hi I drew one of the best archery elk tags in Washington and the area is not great for actually being able to see what's hanging around. It's thick in the bottoms and that's were the Bulls hang out all summer. So I was going to get a couple trail cams but I need them to be decent in extreme cold weather so I can use them in North Dakota. We are talking temps down to -30.

What cams have good battery life in the cold and still work decent?

Thanks for any input on cold weather cams.

I have had my Moultries out at -20. The batteries seem to be the weak link.

You need lithium batteries for extreme cold. Expensive but worth it.

I live in south dakota and have my cameras out from the beginning of June until February. I have a few different brands, but my favorite right now are the browning strike force and black ops. I put new energizer lithium batteries in them every year and they last the whole year. They are expensive batteries but we'll worth it.

Browning black ops and lithiums.
