Does anybody know if Colorado rules permit a person to return a draw license and get his points back for a non-medical reason? In this case it is a mule deer tag that took about 3 points to draw.

Yes, you can return the tag ASAP and get your point reinstated IF YOU DO NOT get your money refunded. Or you can take the money, and loose your points. (This is for a first choice tag.)

Turk is right. If you turn it in you loose the dime but keep your PP"s. If you want a refund you loose your PP's!

Remember you keep the Preference Points used. However you will not gain a PP for this year.

If you used 3 PP to draw, you will have 3 PP for next year (not 4)

I returned my unit 61 tag last year because I was successful in drawing an elk tag in New Mexico. It is very easy. Go to the Colorado web site. There is a form that you can print. Fill it out. Then mail it along with your tag. In about 2 weeks you will get a statement from them say that your points have been restored. The statement will also list any other points you might have
