Chimney Ovens in wall tent?

So I am getting a family sized wall tent for hunting and summer camping out of my jeep w/trailer etc. I am trying to decide if the chimney ovens are good? Or would I be better to use charcoals and a Dutch oven? I would think that the oven would suck for summer but would be nice in the fall and winter etc.
Who has one or has used one? Would you pay $300 for the add on?
