Just ordered the UA Ridge Reaper 03 Jacket for my Sept CO elk hunt. Hoping to lighten the load vs. last year when this easterner had his mossy oak hanging off of him all day while trying to scale those mountains.

I bought a pair of REI proana stretch zion pants in dark khaki. I can get a lot of use out of these pants back home and figured the non camo look pants would be ok for the elk hunt. Also, really struggled last year with the lack of stretch etc my MO pants have.

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds good, I've never handled the UA jacket... I hope its everything you expect.

Sept hunts usually only require a light jacket in the AM which finds its way into the pack very quickly. A good rain jacket could easily do a double duty.

Have used ua early season pants and worked well. They do have some stretch. Believe they may be called speed freaks now. Hardly ever used their jackets, usually take a puffy for morning and a best at most

REI Pants fit odd, ended up buying the Ridge Reaper Pants.

Hopefully I will look good for the pictures
