Guess I probably will, 5 days in area 86, guide a bowhunter in 67 for a week, then my two brothers show up for their first elk bow hunt, 10 more days in 86. Oh yea, and Tanner, I played golf with your cousin yesterday and he still slices the ball better than anyone west of the Mississipi!

Yea..Tim, excited but a little stressed we are so busy at work. Switched from an old glory to a insanity cpx...and having a hard time getting use to it! I guess I will gain confidence in it after awhile.

The elk and deer we have been seeing during our evening drives are big this year. Lots of green grass has helped them out. Can't wait. Good luck to all.

Not sure. Broke my leg Friday & skeptical I'll get up there this round?! Hopefully will get PT going asap! Heck of a deal. General tag. Not sure yet whether to just swallow it & lay off this year or hit it 110% & get my butt up there. Hopefully they'll make that decision for me very soon. I'm interested in the long term more so than short term. God bless yalls preperation, travels & seasons this time!

Dam pop! How did you do that? Didn't anyone tell you its light duty at work prior to any elk hunt? J/k maybe you will recover before rifle? I guess your lucky it didnt happen during your hunt! Good luck with recovery!

Thanks Junior! I was airing up a tire & it blew out on me & snapped my femur mid shaft & fractured my tibulal just below my knee. After talking to them today they're wanting to hold me out of PT for a couple more weeks as of right now. As bad as it is i am truly blessed it wasn't/isn't worse!

Dang, pop, sorry about your misfortune! Not good, but like you say, it certainly could've been worse. FWIW, back in the day, I hunted with a walking cast after I blew my leg up and had surgery in May. Didn't kill my elk, but managed to kill a muley. Prayers that you have a speedy recovery.
On a lighter note, I'll mosey on down in a month or so and buy my OTC general tag and hunt the same area I've been hunting for the past 30yrs. ;-)

Dan I think ill be out the first couple weeks in September!! we will have to hook up and hunt this time!!! And possibly get a round or 2 of golf in!! That doesn't surprise me about shawn!! He could pry hit it 400 yards if he never had that damn slice!!!

I thought you might find this interesting. I was talking to BB the other day about elk hunting and coincidentally he told me that he had killed 13 bulls on September 23 with his bow. Sounds like you will have a great chance to make it happen on that day.
