ThreeStatesTwoWeeks two great Bulls Down

I flew into Albouqueie New Mexico Drove 5 hours to my hunting area in the Valle Vidal. Hunted there for two days had a great hunt and was able to take a 300 inch bull with my bow. I then drove to Estes park Colorado to meet my friend who had been hunting just north of there for a week and missed a good bull. We both had Wyoming general tags so we went north to find a bull. We where Able to call in a 320 bull on the first day. And my buddy made a 60 yard heart shot. This hunt was amazing and I won't soon forget it. We put over 2,200 miles on a rental truck and seen some amazing places. I hunted a few more days in Wyoming but the weekend hunters on their ATVS pushed the elk over 6 miles back into the high country. We had to pack the other elk out and it took 6 hours. The elk we found where so far back we would never get them Out with out pack horses. It was very hot so a two day pack out would have ruined the meat. I was feeling home sick for my sons so we packed up early and I ate my Wyoming tag. No regrets we had a great time and seen some amazing country.
