25 yd. shot 100 yd recovery. Screery cow call. RER static limb recurve. Came very close to getting a 360 class bull, maybe next year.
Sorry, posted this pic already in another thread. Not a great bull, but it was a nice hunt.
looks like a dandy to me! congrats
Very unique looking bull.
Congrats
Good luck, Robb
Cool looking bull! Congrats!
Whats the arrow setup David?
It would be a great bull to me. Congrats.
Awesome. Whats your arrow / broadhead setup?
Nice! Congrats and God Bless
Thats impossible! You have to shoot 350 fps and have 76 foot pounds of energy to even think about shooting an elk. lol
Congrats on a great bull! I'm jealous!
Looks pretty damn dandy to me ! Congrats David !
Congrats, David! Lot of character.
A woman I helped on a moose hunt killed her moose with a 46 lb recurve and a 450 grain arrow. Moose was down in less than 30 yards after the shot.
As we've discussed before, bow draw weight....
Cool looking rack....congrats!
Congrats on getting it done!
Mark
that's an incredible take with a recurve bow! congratulations!
David, very nice sir, I'd have an even bigger smile with that bull. (grin) Congrats!

Nice bull, I love the freaks!
Great accomplishment with that recurve, David.
Best of Luck, Jeff
Thanks for sharing. Enjoy seeing pics of elk taken with "light" trad gear.

I used a Beman carbon with a bronze 100 gr. insert up front and a 125 gr. Steelforce premium 4 blade broadhead.
Which RER recurve? I love their bows! I have shot one for years! Shawn
Looks like he has a bit of triceratops DNA in him. That would be a great bull to me.
its a great bull.........
Great bull!!
Just shows shot placement and a good broadhead are more important than speed.
Congratulations, very nice bull.
The alignment and shape of that juniper trunk behind you makes his left antler look really wild at first glance. I had to do a double take!
deerman, it's a Rivers Edge Recurve 54" Arroyo. The 49# is at my draw, might actually be a bit less. A smooth and quiet static limb recurve.
Well done!
If you don't mind, please tell us about your arrow/bh performance. Obviously, it was more than adequate.
A friend of mine took a AZ bull this year with a 47# recurve. Arrow was 500 grain total tipped with a 2 blade zwickey eskimo. Got a pass through on a quartering away shot. Impressive IMO.
