I always wondered why bull elk smelled like elk urine during their rut. I think I finally figured it out and so if you don't know yet, look closely at the photo and I think with a little thinking and perhaps some help from your hunting partner, or from Lou, or big dan, or Paul, or even your reading glasses, you will be able to finally solve that puzzle.
Have a great bow hunt. BB

Lol! Bill I can smell here from here! (grin) The bull my son took this year absolutely wreaked with urine, I'll bet if we would have seen him acting naturally shortly before his demise we may have witnessed that very photo! (grin) Awesome photo!

At least that bull can get the stream across his hooves. More so than the old guys you mentioned :)

Great pic. Like they say, timing is everything!
I always wondered the real purpose of antlers as well.... it's a guy thing I guess...

Bill, since crossing over into my seventh decade, I find myself doing that on occasion....
TD, that too! Nothing like a good scratch when the urge strikes.

That "scratching" bull is probably glad that he was still in velvet.....then again, maybe hard horned is a double entendre?....
