Been out hunting elk sheds and ran across some bulls that are onto a good start for 2016 headgear today.

I found this guy snoozin. I think it was early may, but it was also a dry year in NM. You can see in the video at one point I felt I was too close.
Did you pick up any bone>?

Need to find him sleeping like that in September !! Slim pickins this time of year. We rode all after noon and only found one elk shed and a few small mule deer sheds but the elk was a nice one.

I was surprised to see a 5x5 still intact this weekend. It's strange that some bulls shed so early and some so late. I found my first shed on Feb. 28th this year.
