New Mexico unit 13

Got a unit 13 elk archery tag and not sure if going solo or checking with a guide, anyone have any experience with guides in this area? Any advice appreciated.

I am hunting second archery in 12 this year with Black Mountain Outfitters. I know they hunt 13 as well. I have not hunted with them before but they come highly recommended. They are worth checking out www.bmuhunts.com

Good unit. My brother drew the tag a couple of years ago. We killed a good bull in there unguided.

If your thinking about going un guided I'd head over to Game Planner Maps and look at their New Mexico Map Viewer. It'll make your homework a heck of a lot easier.
