Unit 54 bound. Anyone else?

Heading out to Colorado gmu 54 just wondering who else is heading that way? Happy hunting!

Yes.. 1 more year, lol. My "honey hole" has dried up over the last few years. But it has been so good to me in the past, I've decided to try it one more time- this year during archery. I've yet to connect on an archery elk, maybe this is the year. After 5 weekends of scouting I am very cautiously optimistic. Good luck!

Winging it in 54 is not very productive. One can get lucky tho. Good luck!

I've shot a handful since '08 with a rifle. There were years it was very very good to me. I did hunt archery season 2 and 3 years ago... I came really close each year but did not shoot an arrow.. At 51 I am planning on hunting smarter rather than harder, lol. I guess I'll know in a month how well my philosophy works. I have 2 cameras up. I've got pics each of the last 5 weeks I've checked them. Nothing huge, just your typical Gunnison County 5 points mostly.. as well as a good number of cows. 2 years ago I really thought it was going to be a slam dunk opening weekend. In short, it wasn't. lol. Maybe this year will be my year..
