3 Generations! Idaho Bull!
Elk

Saturday morning the 3 of us headed up the mountain to enjoy an awesome day of elk bugling & elk calling! This has been a great spot for us for several years now & it pays off again! Just under a mile from nearest road & straight up to the top in the dark timber! This bull was down by 7:45 a.m. & the work began! Called the bull in to 20 yards from my son & grandson who was a foot away from his dad when he released the arrow so saw the whole thing go down! The bull was 30 yards from me & I stopped him with a short abrupt cow call in a small window.
The bull was down inside 50 yards with a double lung shot! Great experience for us all. Of course it's an OTC DIY Public land elk. Thanks!

The clipshot came in handy to fasten our camera to it so we could all 3 be in the photo! Very cool item when no one around to take a photo for you! (grin)
Good luck everyone, the season is young!

Great picks and story Paul.
Would you share information on the bow, arrow, and broadhead he used?
wow, cool bull and an even better story to go along with it. Congrats to the Elknut crew!
Congrats Paul. Great memories for all 3 of you right there.

I agree on the pack Paul. Great story and thanks for sharing.
Thanks guys! Yep, agree on the pack!
Toby, Elite energy 32 70# -- Victory RIP arrows 350 spine, 100 grain Exodus Qad head. Total arrow weight with head 400 grains. The broadhead is the same one he used last year on another 6 point bull, two bulls with one head & it didn't need touching up, very unusual with no touching up, it was still very sharp. I shoot the same head but with Victory VAP 350 spine arrows!
