After a 2 hour stalk which consisted of a very slow crawl, then laying face down in thin prairie grass for 45 minutes as other bucks fed within 23 yards of me, this buck finally got out of his bed and gave me a shot. He was down 70 yards later.

I was around Rapid City 2 weeks ago and we didnt see any dead wildlife. Although we did see a lot of dead cattle.

Brotsky - We were around the Buffalo area which I think was on the western edge of the storm and snow. As a group I think we only saw 5 dead cows, no dead wildlife. Seeing the dead cows wasn't all that odd given how many head are out there, they could've died from a number of things imho. Thanks guys.

Nice buck for what looks like the slim buttes, we didn't loose many Mule deer during the storm but blue tongue did take out a big portion of the older whitetail bucks. From looking around during calling Coyotes after season there are a lot of good Muley bucks left.
