Here is a guy I filmed last October in Colorado. For some reason, he disregarded the 5 people watching him and proceeded to shoot. I tried to yell at him not to shoot a minute before he shot because there were people downrange on a 4-wheeler as seen early in the video. He shot over a herd of cattle as well.
I'm glad y'all filmed it and hammered him! I took quite a bit of video last year myself.
There is no way I'd associate the term "hunter" with that guy. We always use "road poacher".
Glad you helped to get him ticketed, but $380 seems like a pretty light fine to me.

The power of the video camera! With so many people having some sort of recording device, whether an actual camera or a smart phone, the morons had better beware.
Good for you. More people need to turn in these idiots.
Nicely done Thornton! Bagged a bull elk and a d-bag in the same trip!
$380 is a joke. Nice work but really penalties need to be stiffer. No life altering penalty there. Next time that guy sees a big buck he's going to go: "Hmmmm $380 in case I get caught?"" Kaapowww.
What law did he break ? I see that kind of stuff on TV all the time.
Is this what Ron White had in mind when he said " ya can't fix stupid " ?
So what's the law he broke?
I am sure that every one on here wool just drive on pay if they see a deer two hundred yards of the road

WOOL AND PAY
I dont understand the comment, they do alot of hunting out west, like I just seen fron the video.

I meant to say what law did he break? Would everyone on here just drive past a deer? I know if I saw a buck I wanted to shoot, I would shoot it. Unless it is illegal. So what did he do that is illegal?
Shoot from or use a motor vehicle, motorcycle, off-highway vehicle, snowmobile or aircraft to hunt, intercept, chase, harass or drive wildlife
Ok got it. So he should have walked a few feet away from the truck.
I didn't see when this was originally posted that the deer were standing on public land, but didn't he shoot over private land in addition to shooting illegally from the roadway? Or were those cattle somehow on public land?
No matter what you cannot lean over the hood of a truck and pull the trigger. You have to be away from the vehicle even if you are off of a road so he was screwed no matter where the truck was parked or if he was public or private
Man. What a douche. They should get a rope
