Depends on the area ifyour in an area that is mostly agraculture it can be tough because the deer are still in the corn if the corn is out your golden if not get as far away from it as you can. Some years the corn is out by first plains rifle season some years i cant hunt my goose lease untill dec1 because the corn is still up

What fubar said. Depends on the corn. No corn where I hunt so that's not an issue. That week can be good for spot-stalk as the bigger bucks aren't usually with the does full-time yet. Also not a bad time to rattle and decoy, though the week after that is better, IMO.

Could wait iuntil 2015 and probably get next week. Will check with outfitter. About corn.
Glad Jaq-f hip doing well. Total hip is one of best operations known to man. Not perfect but when successful will allow almost all normal activities and many now will last 20+ years.

Anywhere from about Nov 5 to Nov 15 is my favorite time to bow hunt mule deer on the plains. Oct 31 is always when I start to see mature bucks start showing up but they don't get too dumb until a week or so later

AS stated earlier, the corn is the biggest issue. But you should be able to reasonably expect dry land stuff to be down by the dates you mentioned. Depends on the unit and the farmers in the area. But once the corn comes down, the big boys wont have much cover to hide in, so they'll either be in the creek bottoms or hiding in the CRP. Either way is a lot of fun. Jaq always does his posts from the bottoms, but I know a couple big ones on my wall that fell in CRP fields. Can't go wrong either way, just make sure the corns down.

Don't archery hunt outside of the rut in eastern Colorado. Too many eyes in December and too much corn in October. Doesn't matter who you hunt with, I have hunted with the best of them.
