Advice for unit 34 nm mule deer hunt?

I have a deer hunt in unit 34 NM, I've never hunted this unit before and was wondering if anyone could give me some info on where to start. Also heard of some feral hogs in this unit as well...is this true?

Lots of feral hogs, start Curtis Canyon, it's the only place with running water all year long, also try miller flats..
