First I would like to say hello to all my friends here on the Bowsite. I don't get on very often anymore, but think of you guys often. I want to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and the best in the New Year!
I know some of you are my friends on my personal Facebook account so I apologize to those for all the repetition. I also have a public account on Facebook where anyone can look at my public wildlife photos. Just google William Allard Wildlife and take a look.
Okay now on to what most of clicked to see! I hope you enjoy them. I sure had a great time taking them. The camera is pretty addicting I must admit and there's sure a lot to learn and I am a slow leaner, but boy do I have fun!
I know these kind of sunset photos don't post in the proper color for some reason here on the Bowsite, but in true colors it neat.
And that other sunset photo looked like crap and I am sure this one will too. But its a good way to end it.
Have a great bow hunt. BB
Amazing pics! Thanks for sharing
Thanks for that Bill! I've wondered quite often where you've been lately but with a repertoire of photos that you create I'd imagine a man can't spend too much time indoors. Thanks for checking in and sharing those beautiful photos!
Awesome!! Great reference for we taxidermist!!
BB, as always, wow. Are these in closed hunting or open to hunting areas?
Julius

The best part of fb is getting my daily dose of Bill's wildlife pics. Also, on fb you are able to open them to full size and they are so much more vivid.

awesome pics - hard to pic a favorite but love the one with the fresh rubbings on the antler...
Geat photos Bill!
Question - the one buck thats a black print, I know he's a star in many of your photos, but is he injured or just run down? He's looking like he's not going to make it....
Merry Christmas!

Awesome photos Bill, and I sent a PM your way.
I'm not on Facebook, and I lost your email
B
I've always enjoyed your photos! Thanks for sharing.
After reading all the other nonsense being posted on the other threads, this was a refreshing change.
Thanks for posting these Bill.
Julius those photos were taken in Utah. And here we have some units which they call Limited Entry Units, and in those units they allow hunting on a very limited basis. These photos were taken during the rut in one of those units. On occasion, if one hits it right, and you know the area well enough, you can get some decent photos. Other times and days it can get tough. Its a lot like bowhunting in general.
Sivart, likewise. You sure got the job done fast under all the bad conditions we had this year. You guys all did great considering all the moisture we had.
Midwest they do open larger on Facebook, but not full size. I save the big size for the photos I sell on canvas prints. I had a friend order a canvas wrap of the buck doing the lip curl with the two rubbed trees next to him. Its a really awesome print if I must say. It's hard to have everything line up right in wildlife, but it did that morning.
TD all were Utah bucks.
hyrax many were from the Henry's but not all of them. Its a lot like bowhunting, if you keep doing it, you learn where to go and get better at doing it. Too bad I am such a slow learner!
CurveBow, I don't think he was injured, but he did his share of fighting as his coat was always roughed up, but he seemed very fit and healthy. That's not the case with all the bucks I saw. I will post one that I don't think will make it, I doubt he's around today, but even with his bad injury he was out there trying to spread his genes!
Bake, its a good think I posted this, as I never get on the site that much anymore and so don't see my PM's. I do have your email address and its a positive on your question. I will email in more detail.
I hope I answered everyones questions. And I want to say thanks for all the nice comments made by each of you. I didn't receive one post I had to delete---ha ha. I appreciate everyone for you kind words. Bowhunting has been my passion all my life until I got this stupid camera and its taken over quite a bit. I never thought this would happen to me, but I enjoy taking a good photo as much or better than I do arrowing them anymore. I am not a very good photographer and know so little about it really, but if I have a strong suit, its with the patience and persistance that bow hunting taught me. If you want good photos, even with good glass and good cameras, you have to get close. And bowhunting taught me a lot about that.
And I found out I can shoot 6 big bucks in a day and pack everyone of them out on an SD card, much easier than I can pack out a small buck, taken with my bow.
Now on to the inured buck I promised to post and since I am doing that I better tell a little story about him. Late one afternoon I saw him for the first time. His right hide quarter was injured very badly. It looked to me that he got gored in that quarter and his hip dislocated, as its wild to see the gyrations it goes through as he tried to walk. I tired that afternoon to get in on him and take some photos but he would have no part of it.
I was surprised the next day to see him almost 1,000 feet higher and some 2 miles higher on the mountain, as it was so difficult for him to get around. But it just goes to show how strong the drive is to procreate. If any deer is on his last legs, it certainly had to be him. The photo with this post and the one to follow will be of the injured buck.
And here he is again. He's the buck near the left side of the photo. Look at the size of his neck, but he was in no mood to challenge the other buck, but he sure tried to hand around, just in case.
And some one mentioned they liked the buck with all the bark in his antlers. I actually got several photos of bucks like that.
Here are a few more bucks for you mulie guys! I know most guys on here are WT guys, but for those of us who like mulies I think you will like them.
Not a big buck, but I thought a pretty good photo.
And one final one. On this particular buck, the stars lined up so to speak and Murphy slept in that morning. I got a ton of neat photos of this great buck. It doesn't happen often when the light and animals co operate, but they did on this the last morning of my photo shoot. It was a good way to end a very fun and rewarding trip.
Again thanks to all of you for your kind words and may you and your families all have a very Merry Christmas and the best of New Years to each and everyone of you.
And of course have a great bow hunt. BB
