I did points. This is my nephews 3rd year of not drawing a youth hunt. Disappointing as he is doing good in school and I keep telling him if he does well I will fly him out to hunt.

I made a bad application error!!! I normally apply for 1184 and 1185 when I seen my credit card was hit I was pumped. Well once the results come out I realized I made a huge mistake and applied for 1084 and 1085........F*&K. So insteading of hunting archery mule deer in 12 or 13 I'll be hunting Coues in 23...the good news is I only had 3 points so I didn't waste to many points I guess and after applying for 40-50 applications a year for the last 15 years this was my first mistake!!! Oh well I have to learn from it and besides I have never hunted coues so it will give me a reason!! So any suggestions would be great!!

Sandbagger congrats on your sheep tag! Arizona Desert Outfitters killed a 182" in there last year. 4 tags in there this year is a disaster in my opinion and if 2 Boone and crocket rams get killed this year I'd be surprised. Enjoy the adventure and take lots of pictures.
I drew back in 2013 and its still my favorite hunt of all time. Looks like this year 3 of us on my app drew archery 13B.

Tag numbers are based on 10-20% of the class 3 and 4 rams in the unit. So there are somewhere between 20-40 class 3 and 4 rams to choose from. Getting a sheep tag does not guarantee you a ram that will score well, but you can rest assured that there are plenty of biologically mature animals to harvest. There are plenty of units year in and year out that no B&C ram is killed.

The best friend will be my credit card that is paying the gas bill. I had heard of the 182 ram from last year and yes I am concerned of four hunters in this unit. My biggest concern is all those that are helping the four hunters are their to support the experience of a once in a life time opportunity.

That elk tag is nothing to sneeze at either. To have it with a deer tag..,
I hope you're able to take a lot if time off. Chances of having this kind of tag collection again are slim.

Heat, I agree with you on the fact that there are plenty of class 3 and 4 to pick from in 44bn. Game and fish only Flys a unit every 3 years for there surveys. I think 4 tags in there is to much and I think if you start killing off your class 3 rams that eventually the unit will be hurt from it.

I just wanted to give some insight on how the tags were allocated. Personally I have never set foot in the unit so I have no pulse on what is happening there. I don't doubt what you are saying but I also have a great deal of faith in the biologists in Region 4.
