Nice pics ...a good mixed bag there.
Bear's Link
I even got some beaver pics while trying for ducks And a link to a bunch more on my photo bucket site
Really nice mixed bag...ringnecks, bluewing teal, shovelers, woodies and mallard, not to mention some geese. Nice duck honey hole...
Wow, those shots are very cool. Great idea.
Sell 'em to a magazine! Great job.
That Mallard drake is the EXACT pose I wanted my 13 1/2 banded bird mounted in... but I wanted the head turned back preening the stretched wing... Didn't get what I asked for. Could you please e-mail the pic to me to hold for future reference? I'll PM you with the addy if it's ok.
Those are awesome photos!
Fantastic! Thanks for sharing.
The blue-wing teal pic is priceless. I don't think I've ever seen one while duckhunting.
Those are very nice..if you are ever able to get a pic of a banded bird that would be really special.
J. E. Travis a few more mallard
The trail cam set up with the blue bungee strap overlooking the pond with the road in the background is no longer there someone needed it worse than me.But that won't stop me. Here is some more
Great pics! I especially like the wood duck!
Here is a sun set pic that turned out perfect only had one pic of the sunset.
Another sunset but not the same camera or day
Those are very cool pics! Nice!
Not a duck, but a water bird... Blue Heron that I caught on cam when the floods came through this spring.
Nicest professional looking pictures I've ever seen - WOW!!! (...how did you get the ducks to pose so well for you?)
Love the pics, realy like the Black Jacks
WOW, is right! Thanks for sharing!
Very nice. So what is the deal with the homemade cameras? Is it cheaper or the chance to use a better camera than the trail cameras have in them?
In my area you have to encase in steel or the bears will have a snack.
Thanks ,They are not cheaper usually right at 300 a piece with memory cards and python locks but the quality of pics are far better I don't think there is a manufactured camera out there that has the option for a forced flash in the daytime. Half of all daytime pics without flash would just be sillowettes with the sun behind the subject. The ponds are froze up for now but I will be back in my waders next spring getting more duck pics!
But I have a lot more that I have not posted yet
Notice the deer in the background
Man, those are some beautiful pictures!! Great job!!

I've loved this annual thread every year since it started. Keep on it!
Hey Chuck, you have taken the phrase, "shooting ducks" to a much higher level for sure.
Being a duck hunter, I really appreciate your effort to produce those quality prints.
Paul
Some of the best wildlife photography i have ever seen. This is from a person with 2 pro photogs as close friends.

I didn't know mergansers used boxes for nesting. Interesting.
They drop their eggs in with the wood ducks nest and let them do the work
Some great pics there, amazing the quality of trail cams. For any artists out there there are a few shots that would make a great entry for the stamp.
Beautiful pics. You are very artistic in setting up the composition.
I love the pic with blue heron, white pelican, Canada goose, and cormorant in one frame!
Many of your pics look like duck stamps. My wife used to enter the contest. She is a great artist.
I also love the pic where the heron has a water dog and the mallard has her tail fanned to protect ducklings.
I used to set up cameras like you but too ill now.
Best wishes.

Fisher , Hope you feel better soon . Tell your wife she is welcome to use any that she would like to paint just show me the finished product that would be cool. The link is to my photobucket site @010 and 11 were good years as is this one.
Bear - thanks for the well wishes. I hope to get a camera out this year. I miss it.
Wife said thank you for the kind offer. She is no longer painting because she is terminally ill. We are praying for a miracle.
Best wishes.
wow. amazing pics. love em!
Not a duck but on a duck set
Not a duck but on a duck set
super sharp perfect poses, and that mama duck trying to fend off the heron was an awesome sequence!
These are awesome! Missed this...for a bunch of years!! Glad I found it. So appreciate these shots
What was that owl doing???? Crazy.

Incredible! Thank you for continuing to share.
Awesome pics bear! I looked at these pics last year and they inspired me to set a camera up on a pond in the timber behind my house. I got some really neat pics of Woodies, coons, deer, etc. I plan on putting it out again tomorrow.
I had a very interesting experience the other day in preparing the spot to put my camera. I had mounted a wood duck nesting box on a wooden post down by the creek near my house several years ago. They never used it, so I decided to take it down and put it back up on the pond behind the house. As I was pulling the post out of the ground, a mink jumped out of the nesting box! Not sure who was more surprised, him or me!
Thanks guys I did put one on a wood duck nest a couple times but never caught them jumping out might try again this year.
Really cool pics. Beautiful. God Bless men
I don't know how I have missed these pictures until now but I am sure glad I found them. Great shots!
Missed these before. Not a duck hunter at all and don't even know what most of those different ducks are, but these pictures are spectacular! WOW! Awesome! Thank you for sharing.
Chuck, I can not imagine how many pictures you had to sort through to just show the ones you did. Nicely done.
So how many pictures do you get per camera before you check them? Paul
Usually can get a 1000 in a week sometimes less last time I set this cam was three weeks ago before the ice went off only lasted three days after ice out wish I would have checked it earlier missed a lot of pics .
Another question. So of the 1000 pics, how many of those actually make the cut? ie, are great photos that you keep?
Probably save 200-300- To go into picasa then pick twenty or so to put in photobucket to choose for posting

Getting some woodys on the pond cams
I don’t think I ever have seen this thread before. Incredible pictures. If I had to pick a favorite it is the owl.
I was wondering if the owl was washing itself, cooling down, getting a drink, and if it had something in its talons? it would be interesting to see if there were any "before" photos.....

I think washing itself had a couple other pics of it in the water that week
Some nice pics, I see a few that an artist could use for the duck stamp contest.
I had a few good duck pics shortly before my 'deer' cam was flooded out a couple months ago.
