I do a lot of velvet antlered animals per year. I wanted to show a few pics of artificial velvet on a mulie I'm working on this week. The splits and rubs were all done off of field photos. If you choose to go artificial it helps to take good pics for reference.

Looks awesome.... I would love to see the rack on the finished mount!!!
I've never been a fan of artificial velvet and never seen any that IMO looked real.... Until now! That looks awesome and very realistic. Great job!
That's fake velvet? Wow! All the artificial jobs I've seen look just that, artificial. That looks perfectly real.
Thanks guys! I'll make sure I post pics of the finished mount. Should have it mounted sometime next week.
IMO many advantages to artificial velvet... definitely the way to go in most situations.
Here's a pic of before I stripped the velvet.
WOW, that is simply unreal.
When I started reading this post, and as I was
scrolling down thru thru the photos, my thought was
they were the before photos, how is he going to fix
this. WoW! Outstanding!
Have to save your website for the future!
Harvested a full velvet buck this past wednesday. Boogered up the velvet when he thrashed around.
Dennis sent you a PM
X 3 Hunter
WOW! That is by far the best fake velvet I've seen. Looks great!
I did the same thing Hunter...
Dennis...That is some amazing velvet work!! Very impressed
Probably the best artificial velvet I've seen done. Hell of a job. Definitely looks better "after".
Just had to say that I stopped into Dennis's shop to drop off a mule deer, and this fake velvet is probably more impressive in person than in the photos. Truly impressive shop to stop and look around in, I cannot wait to see how my deer turns out (9 months or so from now).
I have 2 caribou with fake velvet on them. All I can say is while they look ok.... They look NOTHING like that! WOW! Great job!
Meant to put this pic up a few weeks ago but been busy... Here's the mulie finished. Thanks, Dennis
I, too, thought those were the "before" pics. Very good work.
One of the few things I would have to see in person before having it done! Just me! Bob.
Wow Dennis that's amazing! I've had a customers rack done and not crazy about it. That looks really life life. Great work.
I'm just east of Pittsburgh Pa. We have clients ship in from all over.
Fantastic work here! Does look amazing, you have the process figured out for sure! Is it a costly job for a customer?
Looks fantastic, with a great job. I have seen artificial velvet look worse than crap. Most taxidermist have art skills, some don't. Thanks for sharing.
