I've never bowfished before but I'm gearing up to give it a try. I bought line and a muzzy reel, then I see the instructions state to use only fast flight or spectra line and not to use braided Dacron. What would happen if I used Dacron ? ( I already bought it )

It is because of the danger of arrow snapback. If the line gets caught on something on the bow (rest, etc.), or if you forget to push the button on the reel, fast flight or spectra will snap. Dacron is more springy and may not snap, causing the arrow to recoil back at you.

With your handle, you may want to heed MF's advise...8^)

Sorry, could resist...8^)

The muzzy reels look like the newer style zebco reel. If they are like the older styles there is a single hardened pin that works as the line pickup to replace the line on the spool. Using a thicker style line may cause the line to wad up inside the reel causing a line jam on the next shot. Even if you use a sliding ring or AMS safety slide on your arrow you should always check the reels function before your next shot.
