I'm interested in hearing about the lion hunt. How big was the area you hunted it in, high fences?

It was about 1600 ha. and it was high fence. We drive the area 2 days looking for a tracks (it was in the Kalahari area). In the 3 day one of the trackers find a fresh track and from there we track him about 3 hours. It give me a 31 yards broadside shoot. After the shoot we wait about 45 minutes and then track him about 60 yards I also shoot a zebra and a mountain reebuck

Beautiful trophies Toby and an exceptionally great hunt it appears. Angus is top shelf in my books. He is one of the original bowhunter/PHs in RSA. I'm glad you had such a successful hunt and congrats on that fine Cape Bushbuck also. Most bowhunters will never get the chance to take a Maned Lion, Cape Buffulo, Red Lechwe, plus a big Bushbuck all in the same hunt. You must be on cloud nine right now. Thanks for sharing. Rich

Thanks guys. Also the experience to go and hunt with my dad and my 2 brothers made this trip by far the very best of my hunting adventures
