Besides your bow and arrows, What would be the 5 items you would not leave home without on a spring baited bear hunt in Alberta, Canada? Thanks for all your help, any input is much appreciated!
Rain gear, bug spray or thermocell, a wolf tag, comfortable boots and maybe rubber boots and a book.. Have fun
My 120Q cooler with wheels that I normally use to haul all my stuff on a trip and the hide and meat back from a trip. I figured I'd just pick up a cheap cooler in Grand Prairie to put my bears in. Mistake! No such thing in Grand Prairie. Now I have two 120Q coolers with wheels.
Thermacell, book/mag, rain gear, grouse license for afternoons, fishing gear.
sharpening stone
compass
extra string (recurve)

When I saw this thread title, I composed in my head exactly what Bou typed. Anyone who goes hunting without one is nuts.
Keep your eyes open after the season in places like Walmart, they discount the butane/pads pretty significantly.
I'm sure I'm not the first one to notice that you can warm you hands over a Thermacell. Amazing little devices!
