After all of Jade's medical problems in the last 18 months, he was awarded a WY hunting trip from the Outdoor Adventure Foundation. This would also be filmed by the crew from Ultimate Outdoor Adventures for their TV Show. After a 10 hour drive Wednesday night, we arrived in Gillette. Up and at 'Em right away yesterday. It wasn't long before we located a group of about 30 with 2 nice bucks.

We belly crawled through the sage and cactus up within 125 yards of the bedded goats. They eventually stood up, but ran right away. They stopped at 175 yards and Jade had his shot. BOOM-miss!!
The wind was 20+mph and Jade later admitted he forgot to account for it.
Note for next time-BRING KNEE PADS!

We moved To the North and found a group in a stalk able position. We peeked over the hill and they were too close! We moved around the hill and set up for a shot,as a buddy gently nudged them to us. They ran in the exact opposite direction we predicted, and after some quick adjusting, gave Jade a perfect 100 yard broadside shot. !!

The antelope ran off and bedded down. He was done. Woohoo!!! Jades's first Antelope! After all this kid has been through, I couldn't be happier for him!

We always have an awesome time hunting together. In the last ten years, I've tried to teach him everything I know about hunting, and in turn, he's taught me all about life.

midwest-you are correct. This is a great organization! With the financial burden all of Jade's medical is on us, they generously offered to send him on this trip. They are a pleasure to work with and are even getting the antelope mounted for him. It's great to see an organization like the Outdoor Adventure Foundation granting wishes like this!
