Morgan Harris Ohio youth hunt!!!

Ok Folks,
Tomorrow starts the 2 day Ohio Youth hunt here in Ohio. It is open to firearms, archery. All youths must be in hunter orange and accompanied by a non hunting adult also wearing hunter orange.
I am almost positive all kids will be hunting with shotgun or muzzleloader.
The last two years these kids have taken some nice bucks during this weekend youth hunt.
I believe we will have 3 teenage boys and 8 girls hunting. 3 of those girls are my buddy Dennis who passed away a few years ago daughters!
What I would love to see happen is for all three of his daughters to deer out this weekend.
I work today until 2:30 then we are headed out to the property. I need to move two double stands for a better setup this evening/tonight.
Hopefully Morgan gets to put a big old buck in that RZR of hers?

Oh man I'm excited. I hope Morgan gets a crack at a buck! But it would be really awesome of Dennis' daughters would get some deer. You should get Morgan one of those Heater Body Suits so she is comfortable. It's been pretty cold lately. I bet Michele would like one too. But they don't come in pink. lol

This had us delayed for almost hour and a half!
It's now 00:27 and we just got done hanging 3 double stands for this weekends hunt!

Ok it's freezing rain and Morgan drank coffee this morning!
To use the term motor mouth is a big understatement.
Kelly what were you thinking letting her drink coffee before you go to the stand? Besides the motor mouth, she might have to go to the bathroom frequently and miss the big buck coming through. I pray all the kids is deer and have a safe and successful hunt. I look forward to the report.
We had a B/C 3 pointer come by at 30 yards.
She let it have a hall pass!

Ok Sunday morning and Alvin the chipmunk is to darn noisy.
We are hearing something but not sure where the noise is coming from?

Ok we just had a very small doe come in at 09:16.
She let it walk.
As you know you can hear for miles when a shotgun goes off, we have only heard 3 shots all morning and that was from neighbor in one stand all at one time.

Ok Morgan got a text while in the stand and it was from her middle brother who told her he is driving up from Atlanta.
So we left at 2pm.
I did do a small push in a bedding area and managed to push a 9 point past her but she couldn't get a clear shot.
There were no deer killed this year during the youth hunt but our season runs until the first Sunday of February so there is lots of hunting left.
Quality time in woods is what it's all about. Ohio is in my blood now. I can already hear her calling me back next year
I'm envious, only thing I might get my daughter to hunt for is a sale at the mall!

I didn't see 1 youth hunter out and about here in NW Ohio. Hunting pressure seemed light. I'm sure they were out there, but normally you see the hunter orange all over the area during youth season. I didn't see any driving by or in the woods.
Well shoot, I was hoping all of them would kill a deer. Sounds like a success anyway. Thanks Kelly for posting this, I always enjoy it.
