TThomas to Speak at WSF
Wild Sheep
Contributors to this thread:
Our own Tom Foss (TThomas) will be giving the keynote speech at the Wild Sheep Foundation's life member breakfast in Reno on Saturday January 10. I am sure that it will be outstanding. The WIld Sheep Foundation is a great organization and the convention is a lot of fun. If you get a chance, I would urge you to attend.
I can't imagine the special blend of humor and love and passion for bowhunting sheep all at the same podium........you guys are in for a treat!
YKWIS?
Genesis,
That's why he was invited.
His talk will be about hunting with the family, so with his experience, credentials, wit, and sense of humor, it should be one of the highlights of the convention.
I was contemplating becoming a WSF life member......and then I saw Tom was giving the keynote.....
Yes, really looking forward to his speech and the convention!
Mark
I hope he includes discussion on the need for more "drinkers"! Sheeps can get mighty thirsty:)
I bet he would be very entertaining.
Kyle and I are the co-chairs of the Life Member Breakfast. Kyle came up with having Tom as the speaker and I have to say there has been more positive feedback than any speaker that I can remember. I am really looking forward to it.
Mark, I will make it a point to look for you. Welcome!
Mark,
We'd love to have you become a Life Member. Or better, join as Summit Life Member.
That's a new membership level we started a few months ago as a way for people to show their support. For people who are already Life Members, they can upgrade to the Summit Level for $1,500. As a way of saying, "Thank you," Summit Life Members not only get their choice of a nice Sitka jacket, a Sitka vest or a Filson vest, all with the Summit Life Member logo, they also get a FREE ticket to the Life Member Breakfast for LIFE!
Charlie,
No worries. The Sheep Show will have no shortage of drinkers. ;^)
TThomas...TThomas....yeah, I guess I have heard something about this guy....I think I saw one of his arrows in a bar somewhere in sunny Mexico!! LOL
I look forward to the day I can attend the wsf convention and become a life member! It will happen!
I just became a "Summit" Life Member today Kyle! Still don't know whether or not I'll be attending this years convention. Had knee surgery a week ago and don't know that I'll be ready to travel by then....
kota-man,
That's awesome! Thank you so much, Cory!
Will you be at The Sheep Show next month?
Kyle
I was editing my post when you posted. I haven't ruled it out yet, but not looking too promising...
Well, dang! I was wanting to buy you a drink or three for becoming a Summit Life Member!
I'll keep you posted...I could use a drink after the last week!
I see in the new Magazine they have an add for the Summit Life Membership. What is the significance of the 40th membership that they "retained it for future?"
michael
Michael,
The number 40 refers to 40" horns, which are highly prized. We did the same thing with #200 for obvious reasons.
That is pretty neat/significant. I'm #60, what does that mean? :)
Cory,
It means you're the 53rd person to join as a Summit Life Member. ;^)
THANK YOU!
LOL at BPM!
Three Fosses will upgrade at the LM breakfast. Nice work Kyle.
Kota
Hope the knee is better. Good for you to step up and join. You are the man.
Kyle will be the guy walking around with the green jacket.
I will be sporting a "Lester".....you have to come to hear the talk to get that one :)
Knee is doing better than expected. I'll be there...
That's great Tom!
Cory, look forward to meeting you.
Tom,
"Three Fosses will upgrade at the LM breakfast. Nice work Kyle."
Yowza!
Team Foss is as good as it gets!
Thank you!
Cam and I were toasting a good friend. Looks like everyone who upgrades can win one of these. That is worth it right there. I was planning on wearing mine but looks like we will get one there :)
Tom,
"Kyle will be the guy walking around with the green jacket."
I'll get one if you will!
Deal?
First sheep show for me.....very much looking forward to the show and meeting a bunch of you.
Mad Trapper, you are still my "life coach," right?
Mark
In addition to the Life Member's Breakfast, I hope ya'll will attend Dr. Sorg's and my "Getting and Staying in Sheep Shape" seminar on Friday and Saturday.
Tom was a big part of getting the Sheep Shape seminar started in 2011 and was my tag team partner for the 2013 seminar.
Mark, Tom Foss will tell you all you need to know...
10-4....As you know I need a lot of help!
Kyle, and yes as a flatlander want to catch one of the SSS for sure!
Mark
Mark,
The Sheep Shape Seminar will held twice:
Friday, January 9 from 10:30 - 11:30 in Room A1, and Saturday, January 10 from 1:00 - 2:00 in Room A3.
See you there!
Tom is a great ambassador for hunting and I am sure his address at the convention will be awesome.
Wish I could make it this year. Maybe next year. Enjoy everybody!
Kyle
Is there a link to the Summit Membership. I think the vests are the same as the one Cam and I are wearing in the above photo, the ones we call the "Lesters".
Thanks
Tom,
The options are:
A Sitka Jetstream Jacket
A Sitka Custom Jetstream Vest
A Filson Mackinaw Wool Vest
A Barbour Liddesdale Quilted Vest (Ladies item)
All have the Summit logo, of course.
BTW, the colors you see here are not translating well when posted here.
My Sitka jacket is gray, my vest is black with gray trim and my wife's Barbour vest is white. Other colors are available as well.
I think I have enough Sitka gear :)
