I noticed a lot of the bag stuff at stores is mostly grass seed Any recommendations for a plant that will regenerate quicky?

Winter wheat, broadcast the first of September. Deer just love it all season long and it's easy to grow and comes up fast.

Triticale is higher in protein, and sugar than oats, wheat and barley. It also tolerates shade better, so it's what i will be pushing as a grain source for kill plots.
I push a blend of triticale, alsike, ladino, rape and multigraze/high sugar forage turnip.
I want nutrition out there as close to 365 days a year. Establishing a mineral site in the same area, early spring is also a great option.
