If I remember correctly the draw results for moose and a few other species should be available this Friday.
It's been quite awhile since I applied for anything up there so I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if they will actually come out on time. Also... where is the best place to find them?
I know I'm not the only one chomping at the bit. Thanks!

Results should be out on 2/20 though I think they sometimes come out a little earlier than expected. It seems like I was surprised a time or two with early results but I'm not 100% sure that's an accurate memory.

Emails were sent last year and I believe the results came out around midnight. (I just remember it was late and woke up to check.)

Last year was around 3 am Central time so that sounds about right Nick. I don't expect to pull any tags this year, but would be pleasantly surprised with the moose permit I tried for yet again.

I think I'm due for a special caribou permit. Been pretty lucky on drawing dall tags in the park for late hunts. Last year they were a little late in getting out the draw results.
I can't believe Elmer hasn't posted on this one!

Funny Bowboy!! I posted my own thread titled only 13 days. This is my 27th year applying for Delta bison. I think this year should be the year I finally draw.
The did send out e-mails last year in the middle of the night!!
The ADF&G website says results will be posted before 2/20..

Have faith mixed... you WILL be drawing. I applied for the same permit one time and drew it. Like I said, and maybe you saw if you looked at the odds, 100% success. Like you I'll feel better once we have some money down and things are set in stone.
I'm already looking at the fireplace ready to yank the 6 point bull down to make room for my 60 incher. lol
I am still making a decision on broadheads.

To me, it doesn't really matter. My year is basically planned out and if I draw something great but I can't imagine banking an entire season on drawing a tag...

Near impossible to fully research 5-6 species times three areas each.
I drew a sure thing moose tag on a second out of two choices. No one I am aware of drew anything to covet.

Mule Power, I actually researched the sheep unit before I applied and had a good feel for the unit and the rams it produces. The last dall sheep tag I drew I did a DIY hunt with my BIL to an area I didn't know squat about and we both shot full curl rams. I researched the unit before I applied and after I drew I did even more research. There were a couple sheep guys that were willing to provide additional advice that helped in our success. As you well know sheep tags are pretty tough to come by and often other sheep finatics are willing to share advice. I've helped a lot of guys over the years that requested advice on this and other websites so it's nice when someone returns the favor?
With that said I pretty much pride myself finding quality units in other states to hunt....researching the heck out of them and usually do very well! Good luck in the draws and on your hunts!

Son drew MT Harper sheep. Only 4 given. Guess I'm going with. Brother and I killed sheep there in 1999. \\\
In 1993 hunted goat in Kings River DG340. They gave about 30 permits. We killed two. They were the 3rd and 4th goats taken there since 1985.
9 5/8 11 years old 10 1/4 8 years old.
Sometimes not knowing anything about an area works out.

Just had dinner with a friend who drew nothing. I thought I was bad not drawing Delta bison for 27 years, but my friend said he has applied and NOT drawn Delta bison for 32 years!! Wow!!

I'm pretty sure that can happen. A buddy of mine got a Koyukuk tag one year but wasn't notified till up in the summer. He was told that he was "next on the list ". I can only assume someone contacted the game dept and said that they changed their mind.

A few years ago, I drew a Delta bison bull tag after 37 years of trying.
The reason I drew was that earlier the same year, I had taken a bull bison on the Crow Reservation in southcentral Montana. I already had a freezer full of bison meat!
As for this year? Did not draw anything. Must of used up all my luck a few years ago when I drew the bison.
