Far right of the main forum screen. Should be a blue "you have new privat messages", just under the Welcome back Toby banner. It only shows if you are logged in, but appears you are if you posted ;)

hi open big game forums and before you open any threads you wii see on the right hand side of the pasge three listings the bottom one is check you messages
