Coleman lantern. How far back country, are you talking packing in? If so, I'd just pack extra fuel and use your backpacking stove.

Google "butane backpacking lanterns". There are some tiny ones that run off your stove fuel and make great tent heaters on cold mornings. Coleman makes one, as do some yuppie backpacking companies.
