Where's the story?
You have very good reason to be super-excited, and sky-high proud.
Congrats.

"After 88 miles on foot & 33,000 feet elevation gain, on day 25 it all came together. He stopped broadside at 34 yards as he followed a ewe within range."
It was in 2013, in Montana.
Dang, Eric, studly sheep, goat, moose, elk and goatalope. Did I miss the huge mule deer and whitetail pics, and what about the mountain lion, black bear and wolf photos, too. :-)
Keep it up!
My best, Paul
You could put that quality of ram, with that quality of a mount, on a pink velvet pedestal and nobody would notice.
Is there going to be room for your wife, you and that big of a mount in your bed at the same time?
For those wanting the story, unfortunately the end of the hunt doesnt make for much of a story. After 2 failed stalks on him a few weeks before, we finally found him again. Spotting him from the truck, I only had to close 50 yards before a shot presented himself. It was not exactly the culmination that id hoped for but I got my ram. There were many cliffhanging stalks along the way though and the hunt was a blast. If i was a little more tech savvy I would put some footage online. We made an hour long DVD of the hunt and took literally thousands of pictures along the way. Ill attach a screenshot of some footage I took of him fighting. He's the one on the right. He battled that ram for 5 hours as I worked my way to him, all to be busted at 100 yards as the thermals began to change.
Its truly an honor to hunt these animals, the hunt of a lifetime. Wont forget the bittersweet feeling just before touching off the release. Ready to cut the tag but realizing the finality in likely never having another opportunity to do so again. For those of you with a sheep (or goat)hunt in your future, enjoy EVERY second of it! And Writer, we're gonna have to find a way!
