Go online and order Gouthro's Moose Madness. Watch it a few times and you'll be set. It is WELL worth the money.

Funny you say that, I bought it and thought it was a waste of money. He goes over all kinds of calls most people will NEVER hear or have need to use. Watch YOUTUBE, learn to do the cow call and the bull grunt, rake a little, and you'll be $150 ahead.
I've done three DIY moose hunts in Ontario...one out of Red Lake, a fly-in, and two out of Lukinto Lake Lodge near Longlac. Close on all three but no cigar! Gets in your blood and so long as it isn't unbearably hot you'll have a great time. Bring a shotgun for grouse and pole for walleye just in case the moose don't cooperate.

Be prepared for a lot of work once your moose is on the ground. They are big not like a whitetail or an elk. Good luck on the hunt. Learning to call is the biggest thing.

I'd definitely disagree with you, South Farm. I hunted 2011 in MN and helped my dad on his 2012 MN hunt. Using the techniques given in the videos we had bulls at 11 yards one year and 7 yards the next year. We heard many of the moose vocalizations that he went over. We both agreed it was the best money we spent.
Harry, PM me if you want to borrow the DVD. As long as you send it back, you can have it this summer to watch. Let me know and I'll mail it out.
