We just got back from South Texas & Extreme bowhunting. We had 3 amazing days hunting but filled no freezers. My son & G-son were with me on this trip & that made it even better. Our package contained 2 hogs, a Axis doe, 1 Goat & 1 Ewe sheep. ALL of us had our target animals on 3 of our 4 times in stand. It's bowhunting fellas & even though animals were within easy bow range (20 or less yards)the cover prevented a decent shot. My G-son saw the most animals & was practically covered up on every sit but could never manage a clear shot. We didn't hunt feeders, just corned roads (No kinda road I've ever seen for sure). Very green so that definitely was a drawback. 3 arrows were launched & my son missed 1 Doe & arrowed a Doe. I lost a hog with a shoulder hit. A father/son team hunted with us also & both had shots with 2 missed animals & 1 dead hog. Caleb the guide was by far one of the best I have ever been around. My son & G-son spent one afternoon b/4 the evening hunt stalking Goats & on several occasions were at full draw but could not make a shot. If we had been on the Exotic/hog package ALL of us would have had shots at Axis Bucks, Fallow Bucks, Aoudads for sure. Some had shed but we still saw several legal Exotic Deer plus tons of Whitetails. Plans are already being talked about for a Jan. or Feb. trip next year & it WILL be the Exotic package. Everyone was more than satisfied with the hunt. Lodging was nice & very clean with excellent walk in cooler & cleaning facilities for your game. Personally I've hunted 7 different Exotic/Hog ranches in the past 15 years & this one is right at the top of the list for being a great place in all things we look for.

John,
Is this the old Bowhunter's Paradise property?
Is yes, were the animals just left on the property and have survived and have not been hunted.
How many acres are on the ranch
How would you compare the quality and quantity of animals you saw to what you have seen on other properties in past hunts?
Sounds like you had a great outing and being with your family made it really special. Thanks for sharing.

From another website this should be the old bhp. If I recall the ranch was 1200 but that was 2005 I think when I hunted there, so not positive
