With the first hunt underway which just happens to be a Bowsite member, we used the dogs and treed three total bears.
Two sows and one 6' plus boar. We let him walk as Jerry has killed quite a few bears and is looking for a giant. I hope we can find one for him.
I will update this thread as often as I can.
A picture of Jerry looking up at the boar and one of the dogs after a long day.
What a great picture of the dogs "watering"!!
Are you doing the Wounded Warrior hunt this spring? Good luck , C
Doug, looking forward to more pics, and I am anxious as heck to get there on the 20th. How high was that boar in the tree? Hard to gauge......
Good luck!
Good luck this spring skinner.

Another great day yesterday but only one good size sow treed but two stalks on giant boars. One got a little exciting but I will let Jerry tell his side of the story and the other stayed outside of 50 yards and 40 was Jerry's comfort zone.
Here is a picture of the bear on the first stalk coming by me at full speed.
And the picture of the sow as well.
WWIAF hunt is the first week of June, we will have three vets in camp we are sure looking forward to it.
Thanks Alex good luck n your season as well.
That's a cranker bear doing the Kentucky Derby there!!
You must come across some color faze in your area to.
about 24% color phase in my area.
Jerry let this one walk yesterday? Good call?
Great bear but not the giant he is looking for.
I'd have a hard time passing that on up!
Beautiful color for sure. Tough call......and great shot angle too.
20th cant come quick enough!
Had good encounters with two more big boars last night but no go. Treed another boar and sow during the day. One more day to get it done.
The dogs don't like the heat.
Killed this bear with a client yesterday. With the bear dying in the tree around 40 feet up I had to do the climb.

Another monster boar taken in a bayup during our annual WWAIF hunt.
Exciting finish with a lot of running involved.
Solid boar taken in a tree with hounds. Marc's first and a beauty.
Is that a Leopard Cur you have in your pack? If so what his breeding?
Guys, I am just back from my Skinner Creek Bear Hunt and man what a hunt! Doug and his team are top notch in an amazing area! We treed at least one bear every day sometimes 2. In addition, the dogs chased 3 or 4 big boars and bayed them in areas that were so rugged or so far that I couldn't get to them. We also saw a couple of real GIANTS spot and stalk and I couldn't get on them. I took a really nice, old boar and will post the story and some pics real soon. Plan to do this hunt asap!
Great pics! On the last picture of the dogs the one in the middle looks just like one of my dogs that is a catahoula/lab cross.

Machias, Yes Tredster is a papered leopard cur from Nick Riley out of Montana. I run a number of leopard walker crosses.
I had a great hunt with SteveB. A first class guy who pushed himself to new limits.
Here is the last bear from this week. This fellow is a wounded vet a senior associate with Wounded Warriors in Action.
Awesome, Nick is a great guy and runs some top notch Leopard Curs!!

Matt killed this fine boar with his crossbow once the bear treed. the hour and a half before that we snuck into 12 yards of the bear bayed by the dogs. This was one mean old bear chasing the dogs and acting tough. The wind switched and the bear bear ran for it, baying one more time before settling in a big fire tree.
18 years, perfect heart shot.
Another nice boar taken on day 3 of the hunt.
You are really rockin Doug! Congrats!

Last day for Mike proved to be a good one. bayed up in close quarters. Exciting way to finish his hunt, up close and personal. At 68 Mike did awesome on this tough hunt.
