My wife tagged out here in Michigan this morning, her first bird ever! 10 inch beard one inch Spurs and probably weighed 20 lbs. shot him with her Bear Siren, Easton Axis, and standard muzzy 3 blade 100gr. She put a perfect shot on him at 10 yards bird ran 40 and piled up! I caught the whole thing on video. Best part is she is 7 months pregnant with our 2nd kiddo. Couldn't be more proud of her!

Congratulations to her and to you both.

Gotta love the smile in that pic.

That's awesome man! Big congrats! My wife went out with me when she was pregnant and soon after the delivery, so I know how rewarding that must be. Tell her awesome job! (Even better doing it in Mi with a bow)

Here's the screen shot I took of the arrow just about to hit the bird, wish they'd commit suicide like that for me!!

Thanks guys. I wasn't able to get out as much I would've liked and didn't end up getting a bird this spring, but this makes up for it ten fold!

Life is just pretty danged good in Drew's world right now, for sure!

I feel for you, it must have been an amazing experience.

Congrats on an experience that won't be topped until you share the same with one of your children.

...ain't nearly as cool as Ryan's skunk hat.

That thing needs to shipped around and shared, like the knife. :-)

(Just kidding, Ryan, but more pics of you with fish and game and that hat would help.)

Thanks for all the kind words. I am a pretty lucky guy. Now she has to decide how she wants it mounted, so far she is leaning towards a hanging dead mount. Any suggestions??

Congrats to your wife and also to you! Great bird and a perfect shot! Enjoy your time together in the woods but beware, it only gets better when the kids can join both of you!

P.S. Once that happens you won't kill much of anything anymore but you'll enjoy it twice as much watching their success!

Awesome! Nice shot by the missus, and congrats on the pending new addition.

Hanging dead mount, you mean like they do with ducks and phesants, upside down, wings flared a bit?

I've never seen one with a turkey. We were always interested in some long-spurred bird hanging from a limb, by its spurs.

It's her bird, her accomplishment, and you're smart enough to let her do as she wishes. :-)
