My first turkey from years ago had reddish-pink spurs instead of black like all of the rest I have. Is this very common? The picture here gives them a bronze color, but the actual color is the same as their leg only a bit lighter.

Cool. Would love to see the white and clear ones if you have pics, or anyone else that has some unusual spurs.

Not so common here in the East. They are generally black with brown in them...yours look brown with black in them

Some of our prettiest spurs have been pink, with wicked black tips.

Longbeard, yes in the picture they look bronze/brown, but trust me they are reddish/pink to the eye.

I think they are really cool looking, too, and have not seen anyone around here take any like it.

Most of my turkeys have been shot in the same area and I have black, gray, white, clear/pinkish and tan. But one of the best is black with burgundy near the base. I'll take some pics.

Thanks Knife!

Anyone else with some spur pics?
