Serving that is? It seems like everyone I ask has a different opinion. Winner's choice said no, Hoyt said yes, some bow shops say yes, some say no.

What say you and why?

Thanks.

WC uses a different product. Use whichever you want, I have a 30 year old tube of wax I use.

You do not want to wax the serving. I have attached a link to an article we did on waxing bowstrings

60X Strings- great thanks... But what is the reason for not waxing the serving?

I thought this might be another manscaping thread.

waxing nock serving won't matter one way or the other. waxing cam serving or where serving goesw through roller guard can slow things down, attract abrasive grit and debris, and is not a good idea.

waxing the serving will also aid in serving separation since you are introducing a lubing agent. only wax the exposed string fibers. Serving is made to take the abuse unwaxed.

I was all excited to share my latest man-scaping story, but sadly I am not sure that this thread is headed that direction!

But my wife does like like her serving waxed.... Ok I am leaving now!

I was hoping this thread was about "Brazilian".

Disappointed!!!

I will now go back to my bowl.

I have never heard of waxing string serving. I have always been told the string is want needed to be waxed.
