Hey guys its that time of the year to take along L39 on some hunts again lets see who is going where and lets get some blood on it. Right now it is on its way to Africa with T-roy. good luck to all

L39 at the top & his traveling companion "Buck" for our trip to Africa starting Friday.
I bought Buck in the early '70s & he has been on every bowhunting trip I've ever taken.

I've got 2 of the L39's ... one was my dad's the other is mine from early 70's .. my brother also has an L39
T-Roy ... I have always drooled at those buck knives - I like the one size up from that one. (sorry not trying to hi-jack thread)
Poor old L39 ... doesn't look quite as good as it did couple years ago.

JW....L39 might have to do a sleepover with you for a couple of nights to get a little more exposure in Africa! Not a reference to the "Anyone hunt in Zimbabwe" thread!!

t-roy loaned out L39 to me for a day in RSA. Turned out to be good luck for me. Very cool deal the way this knife is being taken along on all these different adventures.

Hey, if T's ever in Kansas for a hunt, I'd love to do an article on it. Be cool to run during deer season.
It's be a Sunday Outdoors page, full-color, state's largest newspaper....if it ever works.

I was lucky enough to also borrow the L39 from T-Roy on our bowhunt, and while chasing the waterbuck I never found I got an opportunity on this nice Impala.

Well me, trapper, get real, and our buddy Dennis are on the way to Colorado for elk opener. We left Wisconsin at 4:20 and are almost to Nebraska. We hope to see the mountains as the sun comes up. We will be hunting above treeline in a new area we got just over a six mile hike in and close to 3500' of elevation to climb. Hope after all the hours on google earth we are making a good choice on where to go. Plan b is two miles away above treeline also where we saw I giant last fall with 25+ cows. All alpine meadows juniper bushes and Avalanche chutes. Let's hope for the best and let's get some elk blood on the knife. Watch for some pictures and updates i will do my best but we already have some plans for the trip.

Good luck bird dog & T-Rex!
I want to apologize to Ed (BOWUNTER) on here. I failed to get him L39 in time for his hunt in Nevada. I shipped it out to him on a Monday morning thru the postal service, priority shipping. They said it would take 3 days-4 max. Long story short, it didn't arrive till Saturday. He left for his hunt early that morning.
Next time I will use UPS instead.
