I'm taking a collapsible spinning rod and reel on my Bou hunt. What lures work best for the fish in that area?

I'm sure all those could work. I've had great luck with the size 0 mepps and the smallest size Panther Martin spinners

Any spinner works well. I fly up to the Wolik River each year, it's outstanding for Char.

We were dropped on a North Slope lake in 2012. Small spoons did the trick for small lake trout.

If spinners are key, Panther Martin are king. Best spinner out there. Nothing worse than that first cast into a hole and the mepps or rooster tail fails to spin.

Was that lake known for Lakers or was it just a random lake and you gave it a shot?

I made the mistake of taking bigger lures than I needed. Luckily Rory loaned me a lure or two and I caught some trout.

Cazador has a point. Nothing worse than a spinner that won't spin. Rooster tails are notorious for that. I've never had a problem with the mepps'

Probably more Pixie spoons sold up there than anything else for salmon. Mepps for Grayling and dollies.
