Tried joint vetch in an area that was too moist to grow anything else as an experiment. Deer seem to be tearing it up.... And I have alfalfa, beans and clover within 100 yards of the JV. Thought I would share my findings Mike TN

No but there are a couple of seeps that keep about 50% of the plot wet in all but the driest months

it has rapid growth, but can become a pain , it grows in my flower beds in the spring, seeds are easy find. and it can be frost seeded. Are deer hammer vetch in the spring and even will cross the street to raid it in my flower beds along the road. It does tolerate dry soils fair as well.
