Hi,
Is anyone hunting Spearhead Ranch this year? Does anyone know of Spearhead's future plans? I've heard they may not hunt next year in order to rest the herd.

That is what I was told when I inquired about a future hunt. Wouldn't take my reservation.

Just letting people know our status. We are still in operation and doing well. At this time our antelope hunts are booked full for 2016 and 2017. Depending on our estimations of animal numbers we will take more hunters if we can in 2017. We currently have a waiting list going for 2017. We still have a healthy population of antelope; however, to ensure that we can stick to our standards we have cut back on the number of pronghorn hunters we are taking. This past season treated us very well. We did not go 100% but I believe everyone at least had an opportunity at an antelope. We did take one very nice antelope that went a tad over 80 inches. Of the people we had in camp all but one person had either been here before or was with someone who had, we take this as a great compliment.
On a side note, our elk population is booming and we do have openings for both archery and rifle. If anyone is interested please feel free to contact me.
Thank you, David Moore

Hats off to David Moore, just contacted me to let me know there was a cancellation for this fall and now my friend and I can return to Spearhead for another great adventure. Hunted with them in 2002. Can't wait to see Leo and Shirley again.
Thanks David!
