Putting a face to the name?
General Topic

I spend a lot of time on here and like putting a face to the name of those that are active on a thread. I was wondering, what percentage of Bowsiters have pictures of themselves and why don't you post a picture so we know who you are.
ps. I'm no stalker if you're wondering.
Yep...Just click on my handle and you can see how I've aged too. :)
I'm not that active but here ya go
My Daughter took this at Ferrari-Carano Winery in Napa last Weekend...I've entitled it "The Loin King" ;)
Best of Luck, Jeff
I know what a lot of folks look like from meat pole threads.
I put several more faces to names at the P&Y convention.
its best to leave 2 ones imagination ive been to them bowsite greets many UGLY hunters even with a fist full of fifty's in a hooker house they would strike out :>
By the way many talked, I thought they looked like this
Me in November getting my blue belt in Karate.
And carried themselves like this....
But I've met a couple of you and the reality is more like this- grin
ah, ha ha he pulled the pick
You guys are killing me. I'm probably not explaining it correctly. When I right click on...let's try r-man, I see his real name and where he's from. Click on Bigpizzaman and there are his trophy photos. Some may consider it bragging, but most don't. Just wondering why not add that to your profile.
Man I don't have any picks on this computer, its new, I didnt know there was a place for them or a way to add them.
This past July accepting my Bowl at the 5 day outdoor field NFAA Nationals in Pa.. In the dark shirt.
A little bowfishing a couple weeks ago.
5 points must have been hunting in Austarlia.
DL and Beendare got me chuckling.
We've met, Ron, but here's a recent one from near your cabin on LOTW.
Ok, I'll play. Buffalo1, my wife, and myself at the DSC convention in Dallas last January. ( I'm the young looking one ! )
Midwest, I've served you bigger walleyes but that one you have there is perfect eating size.
NA sheep slammer Ned Greer and yours truly at the Pope and Young Convention in Phoenix. Good times with great people! Thanks again to Pat for the meet and greet.
I tried putting my non trophy trophy pictures and they don't show up where I want them, click on the pictures for Bowsite and you can find my photos.
drycreek, that's sorta ambiguous! Lol
From left to right, that's Buffalo1, drycreek, and drycreek's wife.
Idyll,
That's gender discrimination!!! As a Cali resident, you should know better.
:)
Me on the left, receiving my signed book "Colorado Biggest Bucks & Bulls' from author Sue Reneau and her son.
Ron, Unfortunately, that just made the slot at 19-1/2" and had to go back in the lake. We still had plenty of eating fish though!
Here's one of me with last year's buck
And here is why a buddy of mine started calling me Stinkbait back in college. I love to fish
One of last years Bulls...(I'm in there too) ;-)
Great idea Ron! Here is my husband Matt (Tradman) and I (huntress). This is one of the rare pictures of the two of us together as we are usually working on opposite ends of the ranch!
-Cheryl, Shiloh Ranch Hunting Camp
This is me.... Out of velvet... Sorry I don't have any velvet pics

Now a wine man in the county.....
This is me and my girlfriend in Florida earlier this year
This thread has turned out to be more than I thought! Absolutely great faces! And Ermine, you have shot some great animals. I really want one of those elk now.
Me and the lad last fall.
Not the most flattering but the most recent. Out of 2000 pictures on my phone only 3 are of me. Last year pre-season NM elk. I'm the dude.
Cottonwood, are y'all hanging from the rafters ?
Ghostbird, you told me you had a beautiful wife up at camp this spring, but.......let's say you did well, son!
Bear Track, we met at the Cleveland outdoor show a couple years ago, I think??
Since you mentioned it, how the heck do you ad trophy photos to your profile? Never really figured that out.
Maybe this one won't get deleted
King fishing trip a few weeks back. I am the human, not the fish...
Dang it bigswivle, that permit looks better than 30lbs!!! Now that's an epic light tackle battle!! Here is another one of me with a toothy critter!
My first JHA caribou hunt and my first ptarmigon with a fishing net.
I don't normally look this stoned. 12 days of elk hunting will make a flatlander look like this
Looks like us bowhunters sure like to fish!
Mrs. Bear Track said she wanted in on the fishing end of this too.
Me with the grandsons after a hard day at work!
me and my son doing some clamming
I'm in there somewhere..;)
Heading into camp on my Japanese pack horse.
Some good-looking women and homely men on this thread!
OK I found one of me for a throwback Thursday
To the OP's question...
I don't believe in the concept of posting trophy pics of myself. I'm not shy, I don't care if everyone on here knows who I am or what I look like. Heck I'm willing to give my personal phone number to all Bowsiters that ask. But I can't get over the vanity of boasting about one's self. I have, however, posted plenty of pics of my family over the years. Very proud of them. I just don't get the whole pat yourself on the back thing. Perhaps the biggest reason I never got along with some of the posters on here, past and present.
This pic is my idea of a successful hunt, and my trophy. I am almost always the one behind the camera, therefore don't have many photos of myself. I will try to find a fairly recent one so you guys can see what a fat, old, bald Norwegian looks like. ;)
Here ya go. The whole fam.
Here I am in 1962 with my first deer with the bow.
Fifty three years later and last week here in Colorado.
Time flies when one is having fun.
My best, Paul
x-man, great looking family! now I know why you don't post that Norwegian mug much!!!
just hackin' on ya!
BIGwivle,
That is a huge Pompano, Congrats!!
Elk-n
Fuzzy and Fuzzy Jr, Junior is the tall good lookin one.
This would be me. I'm the pretty one.
x-man, there's a big difference between bragging and being proud and sharing that pride.
If you've accomplished something that makes you proud, there's no virtue in hiding it.
Here I am after killing the coat of one of my techs. I had no choice. It charged me!
12yards, you found a creature that makes you look good.
Whoops, might help if I attach the picture.
Right there folks is a real nice guy, known to some as Dr. Fish. And someone's got a dimple in her chin like mom!
A little fishing in NM a few weeks ago.
Why do pics uploaded from mobile hate me so?
The kids and me! My beautiful other half is holding the camera.
Boy, I'm glad most post their trophy photos. One of the things I LOVE about this site is viewing all of the photos of successful hunters. Never once did I think of it as being "vane" or "patting one's self on the back". You are entitled to your opinion, X-Man but to call it "vane" or "self boasting" about posting a trophy pic on a hunting site? really? Ike said it best...
To keep it with the fish theme...
Here is a picture from just a few years ago.
Turning into 'FaceBook' around here...Lol
Thanks Ron. I love the picture of Jeannine with the pike!!
Ike...What is this "Facebook" you speak of? My wife claims I'm one of the few remaining human beings to walk earth without a FB account...
Mrs. Weekender21 with a loaded weapon!
My wife Diann and I plus a couple more turkeys.Lewis
And keeping with the theme of pretty wives and ugly dudes...Here's my better half.
2 of my trophies with theirs last weekend
Our future daughter in law on the left is actually in labor as I type this.
A Musky from last weekend.
This is how we roll in Louisiana...This is from a trip in May with my visitors from Alaska. I'm the devilishly handsome one in the lime green shirt.
Boom! Go ahead, have your fun...
Let me redefine some things.
I have absolutely no issues with anyone posting their trophy photos in the trophy photo's section. None at all. That's fantastic. I don't do it, and I gave my reason why.
The issue I have is with the ones who post a picture of themselves in just about every thread they contribute in. Some guy will ask a question about broadheads and then half way down the thread listing is the guy who posts a pic of himself with a big buck he took a couple years before. As if to draw attention to himself and his awesomeness.
Embry always has good FB posts... I'm used to seeing his ugly mug!!
I like the entire family themed pics... Here's my tribe!
if no pics were posted on this site it would SUX!
This one should be clearer... but 2yrs ago in africa w/ a red hartebeast.
Okay, if we're going to show off the REAL trophies.....here's me with the two best things that ever happened to me....my daughters!
My son and I. His handle is killercrit
Better halves and next generations notwithstanding, Bowsiters should conform to the Bigfoot threshold of photographic evidence- grainy, specious and plausibly deniable.
"A picture is worth 1000 words." But no one specified whether or not those words were flattering.
Ok a serious one.
The girl in upper left corner is no longer in the family after 10 years of dating her and my oldest son decided to part ways....
Jacksonville beach - stayed one night 8/19/2015, on way to take son to college at Nova Southeastern U - in Ft Lauderdale... I would not hesitate to ever go back there, it was a very nice beach town. Nice beaches and very clean.
and stopped off in Oriental, NC - for some Giant Red Drum fishing on 8/18/2015! What a blast, my son and I got 5 and lost one...
Me catching a ride on this young studs back- early 80's
Back then in my single days....I did have more than one woman refer to me as a pig- so this is pretty accurate...at least according to them.
Me and my better half in Colorado.
. . . 'bout 20 years and 20 pounds ago . . . . . . . . . . ........ alright, 30 pounds ago !
( damn right those are expert marksmanship badges on my chest )
My much better half and I somewhere in the Carribean celebrating 20 years together.
My wife and I scouting for elk two weeks ago around 11,000'.
Not a huge contributor but I'm a huge fan of Bowsite.
This is me and most of my future hunters on the first day of school yesterday.
Here a pix of me and Julie.
Julie's a trooper. I could not find anyone from around PA to go pronghorn hunting, so Julie said she'd go. And what a great trip it was.
A trout I caught in Colorado a few years back... Ed F

This has turned into way better than I thought it would be!
This is me.... Out of velvet... Sorry I don't have any velvet pics
Wife and I with the little guy.
Bear Tracker, glad no one got ur idea and it turned out this way. Very good thread.. Thanks.
This morning while on vacation fishing Lake Ontario, NY.
Why I use the handle "britfan".
Last week lake of the woods 48". One of 4 48,43,42 and 38 inches.
Britfan those are beautiful dogs you have there! I used to have two and loved them like family mine were black and whites though
I'm not very tech savvy so lets see if this works. If it does here is my mug and thought I would stick with the fishing theme like everyone else with a smallmouth.
By the way that blood dripping down is on my shirt and not coming from the fish...I usually have to explain that when most see this pic.
That's not blood this is blood.
Yeah I'd say Pete those muskies have a pretty nasty mouth on them and that's a fine one you caught. What I meant was it was a logo on my shirt, the fish wasn't harmed. Most people think that I killed the fish when they see that pic and all the smallies I catch are all released.
Somebody has to take them out of the net and the gill takers kill you.
At my oldest nephews wedding tonight!
Bighurt- I remember a frequent poster had a golden retriever named puddin. Looked a lot like your dad. I forget his handle though.... Nice family pics
Isn't the guy with the Bobcat TBM???
Keeping with the fish theme...couple years ago in Nunavut.
Excellent thread. Wife is standing over shoulder asking "Who's that and Who's that? ...Now I can tell her!
A rockbass hold char. Not something you see every day.
No kidding on the wife over your shoulder Rockbass. Jeannine was going over this whole thread with me last night. Reflex and Ghostbird were the big hits as they were at our camp this spring. And Kelly Harris and Michele took us out for a late dinner a few years ago in Columbus. Don't know how they got such good looking wives though.
Me and my girls after a little caving experience in Tennessee...wvarcher
Last week on a fly-in fishing surprise for my family. I told them we were going on a little fishing vacation, I just forgot to mention the NO electricity, NO roads, NO plumbing and all the little stuff like that. If the smiles say anything, they say we will be doing this again.
I don't post here often. Mostly stick to my state page. I'm some where in the photo of WY.
With my girls Sierra and Hunter.
The boys know I shoot a bow :)
Brenda and myself with her pronghorn from a week ago today
Rooster, some how, some way, Jeannine and I are going to take a similar picture next year of us. Remember our Ladies Challenge for Brenda to enter.
I'm not the horney one (my wife would probably disagree).
After a good day catching some salmon for the freezer. Sandy Creek, NY.
WOAH, BigDan is Randy Ulmer. haha
And Rockbass is Bill Murray
erm... that would be me on the left-
