I did a pretty lengthy write up about my montana elk hunt last year. It was called Bowsite made me do it for those who remember. Well I headed back this year hoping for another adventure. I'm pretty sure I got what I was hoping for. . .

Best part of the trip is my dad and brother were there for the recovery and the pack. 6.9 miles to the tailgate. My dad is 58 and this was his first elk hunt. He kept up better than I thought.

It was a fun two weeks that went by way too fast. Got to spend some quality time with family and friends in elk country. Doesn't get any better than that. Everyone had some very close calls but no other arrows released.

Here's a sunset on the last day.

Kool hunt and great adventure with family & friends. Congrats to your dad for his stamina and success. I know this hunt was very meaningful to him- probably more than you will ever know.

Thanks for sharing your story.
