S34 Colorado sheep question
I'm a couple weeks from starting my season in S34. I've been scouting and watching the rams all summer. This is one of the better I can find. Would like some input on what he'll score if I can find him again.
I'm guessing the chunk out of the right horn could hurt significantly.
Yes, he walking down the street this summer. lol.
Actually, here is another separate ram I've been watching also. Sorry for the lack of focus, but he seems to carry more mass to me, but less curl.
I can field judge an elk with 10 points all day long,, sheep....not so much.
That shiny one has beautiful horns.
There is a guy on here that goes by the handle "Mathewsshooter" . I'd reach out to him as he knows alot about that area. I believe it was last year he helped a guy kill a nice one in there. You have a great tag.
Other than appearance, the damage to his horns have no bearing on his score. Those are character marks. This guy did some serious fighting in his day. I would say he would score in the 170's. Beautiful ram.
Seems like the chunk might take affect the D2 measurement....but honestly, I could care less.
No way will I pass on this ram if I get the chance. Between the chunk and the busted up nose, this guy is clearly a warrior.
Both are tremendous rams, best of luck and please let us know how you make out.
Great tag, good luck and keep us posted!
I definitely have some options. The wait for this late season is killing me.
I had that tag in 2011. Good luck and have fun!
Thanks Yellowjacket, I saw your ram..he was awesome! I sent you a PM a couple days back, but I honestly don't know where I'm supposed to look for a reply on bowsite. Or does the PM just routed directly to your regular email?
Hey sorry I didn't notice your pm's. I'll shoot you an email when I get to my computer.
